A McLaren P1 For Sale

McLaren has done it again, building a car that will go down in the history books and in the hearts of people all over the world. The McLaren P1 is a technical and engineering masterpiece that combines extreme performance on the track with perfect everyday drivability. The P1 has been a huge hit for McLaren and they are still in the process of delivering cars to customers who ordered them without even driving them or seeing them.

The McLaren P1 is powered by a twin-turbo 3.8 litre V8 engine that produces 727hp and 531lb-ft of torque. This is combined with a battery pack that provides electric power for the motors. This provides a range of driving modes that vary the power and handling characteristics to suit the situation. The McLaren P1 also uses brake steer to help the driver through a corner. This works by applying braking forces to the inside rear wheel when the steering is turning too much, bringing the car tighter into the apex.

This is the only production car in the world to have this technology and it makes a huge difference to how the car handles. The power delivery from the electric motors is also very smooth and linear. This helps to make the car very easy to drive at low speeds and on a long straight. The McLaren P1 can also use its huge rear wing to generate downforce when required. This is activated when you press the race mode button and can increase the amount of downforce up to 600kg.

On a test track, the McLaren P1 is very quick with a top speed of 350 km/h. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in less than six seconds. The McLaren P1 is beaten only by its main competitors the Porsche 918 Spyder and the Ferrari LaFerrari when it comes to performance.

It has an impressively low kerb weight of just 90 kg thanks to the carbon fibre MonoCage which also meets full FIA crash requirements. The brakes are carbon ceramic and the car has active aerodynamics that can produce up to 600kg of downforce in race mode. This allows it to hold its own against GT3 professional racing cars on the track.

The McLaren P1 has a number of different driving modes that change the power delivery, suspension and engine characteristics. Normal, Sport and Track are easily accessible from the rotary switch on the dashboard. There is also a Race mode that disables stability control intervention and lets the drivers really unleash all of the P1’s potential. It is important to note that if you use the P1’s Race mode then the battery is charged at a faster rate and this can result in the need to charge it more frequently. You can also choose to add extra options through the McLaren Special Operations department or MSO. This is a separate department that allows owners of the McLaren P1 and 12C to further personalise their cars.mclaren p1 for sale
